We started as a two-partner masonry company and grew into one of the area's longtime basement waterproofing and foundation repair companies. The goal has never changed: find the problem, fix it right and treat your home with respect.
Our Story
From Masonry Shop to Basement Specialists
Basement Specialists began in 1980 as Larry's Masonry, Inc., a partnership between Dale and Larry. They spent their days in Milwaukee-area basements and foundations, and it didn't take long to see where the real need was: homeowners fighting water, cracks and walls that were starting to move.
In 1981, the company became Basement Specialists, Inc., a name that says exactly what we do. Since then, we've worked in basements all over the area, from North Shore colonials and Tosa bungalows to newer homes in the western suburbs.
That experience is the difference. We know how our heavy clay soil holds water, how old block and stone foundations behave and what actually holds up through a Wisconsin spring thaw. When we look at your basement, we're drawing on decades of jobs just like yours.

The company takes the name it still carries today, Basement Specialists, Inc., and puts its focus squarely on what happens below grade.
